Having originally existed as a podcast, New Noise is now officially a weekly radio show in it's own right.  You can hear it on Saturday nights on Xfm, 9pm - 1am, on 104.9fm in London, also nationally on DAB Digital Radio, Sky Digital channel 0111, and online via www.xfm.co.uk

If you miss it there's always the listen again facility: www.xfm.co.uk/listenagain.  Fire up the player and select my name from the list.  The most recent show should appear right in front of your strained eager glassballs, ready to soundtrack your life at work or leisure.

The focus and intention of New Noise is to uncover the most exciting sounds from across musical genres, with no real rules or constraints, with the odd genuine classic chucked in here and there for good measure.  Things start upbeat (it is a Saturday after all) and get gradually weirder, warped and more experimental nearer midnight, after which a more relaxed tone takes hold.

The latest New Noise tracklist will be published on this site (in the Tracklist section on the left), as well on my Xfm homepage and myspace.  Where I can, links will be provided to the mp3 blogs/shops and band pages from where I sourced the music, allowing you to hunt down the goodness for yourself, like the predatory new music piranhas you truly are.

Meanwhile, the New Noise podcasts are still freely downloadable in the relevant section on the left.

If you make noise of any sort, I'd like to hear it and possibly play it.  Send demos and information to
